Training Plan for Trainers to Deliver E-Training with High Professionalism:
As part of the overall direction toward achieving the goals of Vision 2030 and the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the healthcare sector to achieve these goals by training the largest possible number of community members in health programs to enhance human resources and increase productivity, and in consideration of employees’ work conditions and the difficulty of attending in-person courses at fixed times, the Healthcare Excellence Training Company Center, which specializes in training and developing individuals in the healthcare field through a distinguished team of trainers and technicians with expertise in this field, has provided all the foundations of the e-training system within the center. In addition, trainers are trained in three main areas: (Technology Use, E-Content Development, and Teaching Skills), which include the following:
First: Technology Use
Trainers receive 15 hours of training to acquire the fundamental concepts related to technology and become proficient in using its applications in education. By the end of the training, the trainer will be able to:
- Plan and effectively design distance learning using technological tools.
- Use technological tools in the assessment process through various e-assessment methods.
- Use technological tools to improve professional performance and practice.
- Use small wireless and handheld mobile devices such as mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), smartphones, and mini personal computers to achieve flexibility and interaction in teaching and learning anytime and anywhere.
- Access the platform and use the systems involved in the educational process.
- Ensure possession of the necessary tools to deliver e-training efficiently.
- Handle educational materials technically, as well as attendance and examination systems.
- Safely use technological resources.
Second: E-Content Development
Trainers receive 15 hours of training on designing and developing electronic content using computers and various applications, publishing and presenting it to learners, and selecting among multiple alternatives for learning resources and interactive media according to each trainee’s needs, whether synchronously or asynchronously. The training also includes the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Content Management Systems (CMS), and training on all Google services and tools related to this field.
Third: Teaching Skills
Trainers are provided with sufficient training time to achieve professionalism in teaching skills across the three recognized stages (Technology – Design – Administrative System), as follows:
Technology Stage – Includes the Following Items:
- Mastering basic computer skills.
- Using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Intelligent Learning Environment content management systems.
- Using online social media platforms within academic environments.
Design Stage – Includes the Following Items:
- Preparing a complete description of the training program.
- Mastering the skill of designing electronic educational content.
- Mastering the subject matter and using appropriate e-learning tools.
- Mastering the skill of diversifying teaching methods, encouraging teamwork, and promoting the search for answers.
- Designing the training material according to the requesting entity’s requirements.
- Continuously updating electronic educational content in line with the latest developments.
Administrative System Stage (A large part of which is handled by the center) – Includes the Following Items:
- Ensuring follow-up of trainees’ electronic attendance.
- Ensuring student interaction throughout the educational process during the training program period.
- Monitoring students and their progress in completing the training program and improving the content to facilitate understanding of the material.
- Conducting continuous and fair assessment to ensure the best possible remote training experience.
