The Healthcare Excellence Training Company Center follows a number of mechanisms to prevent trainee identity impersonation and ensure that the trainee personally attends and completes the required tasks and activities. The Healthcare Excellence Training Company Center also follows a number of mechanisms for reviewing trainee work and preventing cheating, in order to ensure integrity in the e-learning environment.
To prevent identity impersonation, we follow the following mechanisms:
- The trainee signs an acknowledgment and agreement regarding the regulations and penalties related to cheating and identity impersonation before starting the examination process.
- Designing examinations that combine randomness and fairness, where questions are selected from pre-prepared question banks and repositories that cover the learning outcomes. The method of answering does not rely on memorization and recall, but rather on understanding and comprehension.
- Focusing on projects and oral examinations in the evaluation process.
- Ensuring that each digital examination model is unique, with new questions that have not been previously solved and whose answers are not available in books or references.
- Prohibiting photographing questions, communicating with others, or using unauthorized resources.
- The trainee may be asked to turn on their video camera to verify their identity and may be asked to present a personal identification document.
- The trainee may be asked to move the camera around the room to ensure that no other person is present and that there are no supporting materials, mobile phones, or similar items.
- Conducting a comprehensive awareness campaign for students and training staff regarding the regulations and penalties for cheating and identity impersonation cases.
- Using technical solutions such as secure browsers that prevent opening any other programs on the desktop during the examination and prevent copying the exam content.
- Monitoring any events that violate permitted behaviors, which are then reviewed by the training staff, academic integrity experts, and technology experts to ensure the quality of the evaluation process.
- Displaying an examination instruction screen to the trainee during the examination, including all regulations, rules, and penalties related to cheating and identity impersonation during the test.
To review trainee work (research papers, projects, homework assignments, etc.) and ensure integrity, we follow the following mechanisms:
Submitting any written work is the responsibility of the trainee. Trainees must submit their work personally and within the specified time to the authorized person. Collaboration in program work or assignments is not permitted unless explicit permission is granted by the authorized person. Trainees must familiarize themselves with all regulations related to the available academic term. They must also consult the authorized training and teaching staff regarding the preparation and submission of assignments, papers, or research work. Trainees must obtain written permission from the authorized person before using the same research or written work for more than one course. Trainees who submit work without clear citation of sources will be subject to disciplinary procedures.
The tool used to review trainee work on the training platform:
The SafeAssign tool is used for assignments, research papers, and essay-based exams. SafeAssign compares submitted assignments with a collection of academic research papers to identify matching sections between the submitted work and existing materials.
To prevent cheating in electronic exams, we follow the following mechanisms:
- Electronic exams are conducted synchronously in the presence of the trainer or invigilator. Trainees are not allowed to enter the exam after 15 minutes from the start time, and they are not allowed to leave before the exam time ends.
- Questions are presented in image format rather than text format to reduce the possibility of searching for answers using internet search engines.
The tools used to prevent cheating on the training platform:
- Using a question bank to generate multiple exam versions.
- Blocking page exit, browsing other pages, and preventing .
- Activating the camera and tracking eye movements and facial features after capturing multiple images of the trainee.
- Using the Randomization feature to randomize question order and answer choices.
- Preventing copy and paste functionality through the use of a Lockdown Browser.
